The Metrolina SMAT is made up of almost 200 volunteers. Although there is wide diversity among the team, the one thing they all have in common is a desire to help during times of greatest need.
Medical & Non-Medical
Although we are a State Medical Assistance Team, and also a Medical Reserve Corps, volunteers from all professions are needed. The skill sets brought to the team by medical and non-medical personnel are all crucial to its success.
Education
Metrolina SMAT works to provide opportunities for you to learn a new skill or improve on ones you already have. Whether you want to learn about satellite equipment, help build an alternate care site out of tents, or practice your profession in an austere environment, M-SMAT is the place.
Opportunities
The Metrolina SMAT is the perfect place for people that love to give back to their communities, challenge themselves, and participate in unique drills, exercises, and deployments. Once you’re an active member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to assist in providing medical care to those most in need.
